Last week I had the pleasure of being invited over to Munich for All About Voice 2022 to talk about all things voice search. All About Voice is one of the few voice events that takes place in Europe.
Organised by the fantastic team at 169 Labs this version of the event was a webinar hosted on the top floor of the Gewerbegebiet Zamdorfer Straße/Truderinger Straße and consisted of four sessions.
Maaike Coppens – VP Design – OpenDialog
Maaike spoken about the the importance of user research in conversational design projects. Often skipped over or not prioritised in projects talking to your end users is even more important when it comes to conversation projects.
Kane Simms – Co-Founder – VUX World
With hundreds of hours of podcast chats behind him Kane presenting the latest research in Conversational AI in contact centers. Kane explained the different approaches to how companies install conversational AI in their contact centres and his presentation included practical case studies of the impact the solutions made.
Oliver Neumann – Senior Product Manager Audio & Video from Süddeutsche Zeitung
Local residents Oliver works for Süddeutsche Zeitung one of the large newspapers in Germany. Oliver ran through a case study of how the newspaper added a text to speech feature into their website and app. The speed of implementation was amazing and their approach around releasing allowed them to be confident in deploying their solution from internal users to the public.
John Campbell – Managing Director at Rabbit & Pork
I then finished the day with a talk about voice search, practical ways of testing that Alexa, Google and other voice assistants can understand your brand and product names.
Big thanks for Tim Kahle and Dominik Meissner for invited and arranging the conference. And thanks to the sponsors MedienNetzwerk Bayern and Lukas Schoene from the team at MedienNetzwerk Bayern for his opening remarks.
